What does the Stress in the Workplace course cover?

The course contains the following 5 topics:

1 – What is Stress

The first topic defines ‘stress’. It identifies common causes of workplace stress and health problems caused by stress.

2 – The Incidence of Stress in the Workplace

The second topic summarises Health & Safety Executive information about work-related stress.

3 – Symptoms and Triggers of Stress

The third topic describes symptoms and triggers of stress. The topic also outlines some relevant research into stress.

4 – Managing Stress

Topic 4 is about managing stress. You will learn about how some coping strategies do more harm than good. The topic describes how physical activity reduces stress and explores how to increase the amount of social contact in your life. The topic covers the impact of learning, diet, expectations and clutter on stress levels. Finally the topic suggests how to create a stress management plan.

5 – Professional Help

The final topic explains what to do if you feel unable to manage stress on your own. It explains the basics of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Once you have completed the five topics, you will be allowed to take the assessment. The course generates an assessment from question banks so that the questions change each time a candidate takes the assessment. This makes the training suitable for initial and refresher training.

There is no limit on the number of attempts at the assessment. In addition, the course gives informative feedback so candidates can learn from incorrect responses.
